Rephrasing the popular phrase, which propagates healthy eating, we can say with the same confidence: “You are what you drink”. How many time trying to quench your thirst have you bought the first available carbonated drink, after drinking which not only that your thirst did not subside it even got stronger? And have you ever thought on such occasions, what is entering your organism? If we write down the average composition of an average carbonated drink, it would look like this: concentrated powder, which comprises of artificial colours, mixed in water with carbon dioxide, sodium benzoate (marked as additive E211) and synthetic sugar replacement – aspartame, which is addictive. In Europe they have already raised voice against the negative effects of such an explosive composition on the human organism (especially in children – since such preservatives and chemical substances negatively affect the behaviour and intellect of the child), and our people as always still “believe in miracles”.
Supporting and preserving the traditions of healthy nutrition, in the process of producing our lemonades we use the latest technologies to make sure that at the end of the day in your favourite cafe and on the store shelves, in which you buy groceries, there should be not only tasty, but totally natural product. For the purpose we use a unique multi-stage water filtration system (it comprises of around 85% of the drink, therefore it should be of the best quality), air and carbon dioxide. The composition of our drinks is simple: natural fruit syrup, cleanest water and carbon dioxide, which turns water into “bubbly”. “Mitrofan Lagidze” brand lemonades contain no preservatives and artificial colours and this means that you can give it to your children without any fear. Because good habits have to be cultivated in the childhood!
Interesting facts:
Do you know that Tarragon is the Georgian name of spicy herb called estragon? And to prepare the estragon syrup you can use only one and the only type of estragon, growing on the vast lands of Georgia. More so the herb has to be grown for 5-6 years and only then can you harvest, and this has to be done strictly within 8 hours, otherwise the taste of the drink would change. Same goes for mint – unless processed in proper time the freshly harvested herb, the lemonade loses its unparalleled aroma.
The “Lemon” lemonade, which was considered by Mitrofan Lagidze as his main achievement, also has its unique history. Lemon zest, used in preparing the drink, is exclusively handpicked, by sensitive female hands. This is a very complex and hard job; therefore one female cannot process more than 50 kg of lemon daily. But this is not all: for the syrup only the very top yellow part of the peel can be used and if cut a little deeper (which happens often while mechanically processing) the lemonade acquires an unpleasant bitterness.
